CommandLatch on Apple Watch

The Watch app is for the fast stuff: glance at a Mac’s status from your wrist and tap a quick action, without reaching for your phone.

What the Watch app will do

  • Device list — every paired Mac with its resolved display name, an online / offline / unknown indicator, and a live keep-awake countdown.
  • Per-Mac controls — the same Power and Media quick actions as the phone: Lock, Sleep, Lock + Sleep (including the delayed option), Mute, Volume up / down, and Play / Pause — plus a Keep Awake subscreen for presets and a custom duration.
  • Pending command pill — a delayed Lock + Sleep shows a countdown with a Cancel button, just like the dashboard and menu bar.
  • Clear “why is this disabled” reasons — when an action is greyed out, the Watch tells you why: the Mac is offline, remote commands are disabled on that Mac, the trial ended, or the iPhone is unreachable.

Watch-face complication

A complication (inline, circular, rectangular, or corner) shows a chosen Mac’s status — Online, Offline, — (unknown), or Awake — right on your watch face, with no network round-trip. Tap it to jump straight to that Mac’s controls.

How it works

The Watch is a thin display client. Your iPhone owns sign-in; the Watch reads status snapshots pushed from the phone, with a direct fallback when the phone is unreachable. The Watch never stores your login.

The Watch app requires the iPhone app, which is coming soon — not on the App Store yet. Until both ship, use the web dashboard from any mobile browser to control your Mac.
