Plan & billing
CommandLatch starts with a free trial and stays free to try — you only need a plan to keep sending remote commands after the trial ends. Billing is managed entirely on the web dashboard.
Pricing
Section titled “Pricing”You get a 7-day free trial the moment you sign up — no credit card required. After that, CommandLatch Pro is $6/month.
One subscription covers every Mac on your account — it’s billed per account, not per device, so pairing more Macs costs nothing extra.
What’s included
Section titled “What’s included”Every feature is available during the trial. Pro is what keeps remote commands working once the trial ends:
- The macOS menu-bar app.
- The web dashboard (works in any phone browser).
- The bundled
commandlatchCLI and Claude Code hooks. - Webhooks and Siri / Shortcut triggers.
- Keep awake, including lid-closed (macOS 13+ and a one-time privileged helper).
- The full action set: Lock, Sleep, Lock + Sleep, Keep awake, Mute, Volume up / down, Play / Pause, Notification, and iPhone alerts.
- The activity log and device rename.
What happens when the trial ends
Section titled “What happens when the trial ends”If you don’t subscribe, remote commands are paused. Your devices stay paired and all your settings are kept — nothing is deleted. In the dashboard you’ll see a paywall banner and the action buttons disable until you subscribe.
This is a real gate: your plan is checked on the server for every command, so commands won’t run on any surface (dashboard, CLI, webhook, or shortcut) without an active trial or subscription. Subscribe to resume right where you left off.
Subscribe
Section titled “Subscribe”In the dashboard, go to Billing (or Settings → Plan → Manage) and choose Subscribe — $6/mo. This opens Stripe Checkout; promo codes are accepted there.
Manage or cancel
Section titled “Manage or cancel”In the dashboard, go to Billing → Manage subscription. This opens the Stripe billing portal, where you can update your card, see your renewal date, or cancel anytime. If you cancel, access runs to the end of the period you’ve already paid for.
Pro-gated features
Section titled “Pro-gated features”The iPhone alert action requires Pro. Beyond that, an active plan (or
trial) is what lets remote commands run at all, since every command is
entitlement-gated on the server — so when the trial ends, all actions pause until
you subscribe.
Complimentary access
Section titled “Complimentary access”Some accounts are granted free Pro by the operator. If yours is, the Billing page shows a Complimentary card and there’s nothing to pay.
